Lo and behold - short film

On an isolated mountain top, a forlorn trekker encounters an odd man who has a request… Lo and behold, a strange event unfolds. How would you react if you found yourself chilling in the middle of nowhere and all the sudden a mysterious person approaches you begging for a cigarette of yours? Would you share your smoke, or would you keep it all to yourself? Would you punish those who do not offer what you need? Directed by Bodi Rajkumar and consisting in one of the first international submissions Cinebooth has ever had, this award-winning 9min film plays with the perception of the audience and is open to the interpretation of the viewers. Filmed at a no man’s land 100km away from the city of Chennai, this short was inspired by a Tamil poem named “The Smokers” by Sri Nesan.
